It is possible to keep the maintenance of Princess Lilies® to a minimum. Flowers that are past flowering do not get moulded and do not have to be removed. It is important to give the plants regularly extra fertilizer, because the rootstocks use a lot of nutrition. A mix of fertilizer with NPK 12:10:18 is excellent and suitable for these plants.
It is necessary to water the plants in the tub regularly.
Princess Lilies® are insensitive to most diseases and plagues; it is wise to watch out for snails.
Princess Lilies® are semi winterhard and they can bear some frost. If you do not cover up the plants, almost 70% will survive through the winter in The Netherlands. If you cover the plants with straw, almost all the plants will survive through the winter.
